변경석 교수는 스탠퍼드대학교 전기공학 박사(기계학습·컴퓨터 비전)로, 25년간 딥테크 연구와 하이퍼스케일 AI·데이터센터 적용을 연결해 온 AI 시스템 아키텍트이자 경영 리더입니다. NVIDIA에서 2016년부터 2022년까지 Principal Data Scientist로 재직하며 Microsoft Azure 기반 TensorRT 통합, 대규모 추론 시스템, Triton Inference Server, 하드웨어 인식 INT8 양자화와 자율주행·산업용 AI 제품화를 이끌었습니다.
이후 LG에너지솔루션에서 SVP, CDO & CIO(프로세스혁신 및 IT 그룹장)로 2022년부터 2025년까지 전사 AX를 총괄했습니다. 미국·아시아·유럽의 글로벌 조직을 200명 이상의 전문가 팀으로 성장시키고, AI 기반 예측품질·디지털 트윈·기업용 RAG·글로벌 ERP 확산을 이끌었습니다. 현재 KAIST 김재철 AI대학원 초빙교수로 AI 시스템 및 산업 AI 전환을 연구하고 있습니다.

He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, focused on machine learning and computer vision. From 2016 to 2022, he served as a Principal Data Scientist at NVIDIA, leading work in Azure TensorRT integration, large-scale inference systems, Triton Inference Server, hardware-aware INT8 quantization, and AI productization for autonomous driving and industry.
From 2022 to 2025, he served as SVP, CDO & CIO at LG Energy Solution, leading enterprise-wide AX as Head of Process Innovation & IT. He grew a global organization across the U.S., Asia and Europe to more than 200 experts, and led AI-based predictive quality, digital twin, enterprise RAG and global ERP programs. He is currently an Invited Professor at the KAIST Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI, researching AI systems and industrial AI transformation.
